Who has access?
The venue plan and training times come with Planr Hub: all clubs on Hub can add venues, courts and fixed times. It is not a separate add-on module.
Planr Basic and individual Planr Pro / Pro + AI without Hub do not give this administration tool. An individual coach still uses the calendar and sessions in the usual way within their subscription.
Concepts you should know
Season
A time period you give a name (for example "2025/2026") with start and end dates. The venue plan, auto-generation and the public training times page are tied to seasons.
Arena or venue
A building with an address and any notes on parking or locked doors.
Court or surface
A sub-part of an arena (court 1, court 2, "north hall"). Important when several teams train at the same time.
Training slot
A fixed weekly time: weekday, time of day, which court and which teams have the slot.
Single exception
Anything that only applies to one date: a moved session, a cancellation due to a school conference, extra time because of a rescheduled match.
Seasons and the public season
As a club administrator you manage seasons in Admin under the venue plan / training times.
Selecting a season
At the top of the flow you'll find a season picker. Everything you edit (courts, auto-generation, week labels) applies to the selected season. Switch the season in the picker before you work on next year's plan.
The public season
One season is public at a time ("Set as public season"). That's what parents and members see when they open the club's training times on the web without signing in. When a new season starts, you need to set the right season as public so the link on the club's website shows current times.
New season
Use "New season" or "Create season". Give it a clear name and dates that suit the club's yearly cycle. You can often copy from an existing season as a starting point.
Manage seasons
Under "Manage seasons" you can rename, edit and delete. Deleting also removes training times and other content connected to that season.
Teams and team names across seasons
The teams in the club (player roster, coaches, teams in admin) are not re-created just because you make a new venue-plan season. You keep working with the same teams; a new season is mainly about the venue plan and which plan is public on the web.
Display names like U14, U12 or "Girls 14" are automatic for teams set up with gender and year of birth: Planr calculates the age number based on what year the current season counts as. The same team can therefore show as U13 in one season and U14 in the next, without you rewriting the name manually.
Where this is used:
- In the venue plan: applies to the season you've selected in the season picker.
- On the public training-times page: applies to the season set as public.
- Where Planr doesn't have a specific venue-plan season, the rules for the handball season apply (typically August–July).
Exceptions:
- Teams with a custom name you've entered yourself (without automation from year of birth) don't change; Planr shows the name you chose.
- Senior teams (women/men) don't have an age number in the standard display name.
- Teams with multiple years of birth base the short name on the oldest year; the years can be shown in parentheses next to it.
When players move year groups or you split a team, you update the year of birth on the team or create/delete teams as usual. The venue-plan season controls which year is used in the automatic names, not which players are on the team.
Adding fixed times
The administrator or venue manager adds the structure before the season starts, so the coaches can rely on the plan. Have the club's prioritisation rules ready before you enter conflicting requests (for example elite vs broad participation).
Alternating weeks and the school calendar
Some clubs have different courts every other week or have to take school holidays into account. Planr supports patterns and labelling of weeks, so you can communicate "no training in week 40" without manually deleting fifty training hours.
Time requests
In some setups, coaches can request available windows when other teams have cancelled. The administrator approves or rejects, and both parties get a notification of the outcome.
Public page
The club's training times can be published on a separate page with a link you can put on the club's website. Which plan parents see is controlled by the season you've set as public. Keep the link updated on the club's website.
Many teams at once
For large clubs you use Auto-generate in the venue plan to get a draft of fixed times based on age, courts and time windows. See Auto-generate training times and teams.
