Android and PC (Chrome and similar)
Open Planr in the browser, open the menu (three dots) and pick Add to home screen or Install app.
You usually get the latest version automatically the next time you open Planr, without having to update from an app store.
Notifications and background updates can behave a little differently than in the Planr app from the App Store.
iPhone and iPad: Add to Home Screen
Open Planr in Safari, tap the share button and pick Add to Home Screen.
Notifications from the browser follow Apple's rules and may differ from App Store apps. If you need reliable push, test what works best for you – or use Planr from the App Store.
Planr from the App Store
You can also download Planr from the App Store.
You then get purchase and renewal the Apple way, and notifications and the home-screen icon are often more predictable than when Planr is just a shortcut from Safari.
The app shows the same Planr content as the browser. The differences are mostly in notifications, subscription purchases and how Apple updates the app.
Updates
- Home-screen shortcut: close Planr completely and reopen if something looks wrong right after an update.
- App Store: update Planr where you usually update apps.
Use without perfect connectivity
When Planr is added as a shortcut, some content can be briefly available without a network, but don't count on planning and saving without coverage. Open important sessions while you have signal, before you go into a gym with weak network.
Shared tablets in the club
Only install or add to home screen by agreement. Log out after use so the next team doesn't see the previous team's data.
Same user on web and in the app
You use the same email and password. If you've bought a subscription through Apple, it's tied to your Apple ID. Read Subscriptions, pricing and payment before buying the same product again on the website.
Troubleshooting
Blank or white screen
Clear stored data for Planr in the browser settings, or delete the home-screen shortcut and add Planr again.
Can't install
Some work phones or employer policies block installation or PWAs. Bring it up with IT, or use a device where you're allowed to open Planr.

Planr sends short notifications when something changes on the teams or sessions you follow. The point is to save you time in a busy day, not to spam you.
Languages in Planr
Planr is used in several countries. You can change the language of the app itself and control the language of drill content independently of each other.
